Center for Land Based Learning--Farm on Putah Creek

Picture
In search for our wedding location we wanted a place that would be significant for both of us. After a long search up and down California this place seem to fit us perfectly. Bryan first visited the farm on a field trip for one of his ag. classes. When he saw the sun setting between the two rows of olive trees, he knew that this place would be where he wanted to get married. The farm is simple and beautiful. On site is an old vintage farm house from the 1890's as well as walnut orchards, a community supported agriculture plot, and other crops. The farm also runs many youth education programs, teaching inner city kids practical skills of sustainable agriculture.

The farm on Putah Creek encapsulates many of our passions: sustainable agriculture, simplicity, teaching, connecting with kids, and facilitating communal living! The perfect place to get married!

1. Ceremony

The Ceremony will take place under the beautiful Oak tree besides the farm house at 5 pm! After guests will make their way to the front of the farm house for drinks.

2. Reception

We firmly believe in community and the best way to facilitate that is through sharing a meal together. There is something so beautiful about sitting at a table eating with others. It makes strangers become family. So we are asking all our guests to bring their favorite family recipes! It's a potluck! We will provide beverages, bbq'd meat and desserts! You bring a side dish to share with others!

3. Dancing!

After dinner, we will be dancing under the stars in front of the farm house on the lawn! Bring your best dance moves! There is also a fire pit for s'mores and hanging out! Feel free to bring any instrument to play by the fire! Also, camping is allowed on the property so plan accordingly!
